ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our cloud strategy, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud-hosted services and applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and deploy Azure infrastructure solutions in line with business and technical requirements.
* Manage and optimise Azure resources (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking, identity).
* Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform.
* Monitor environments for performance, security, and cost; implement optimisation actions.
* Partner with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to support CI/CD and cloud‑native delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and platform services.
* Maintain accurate documentation for architectures, configurations, and procedures.
* Keep current with Azure updates, patterns, and best practices; recommend improvements.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience
* Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
* Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
* Experience with Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and identity management.
* Familiarity with networking concepts (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
* Knowledge of monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
* Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure AKS) is a plus.
* Telecommunications experience is highly desirable but not required.
Certifications
Required
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Preferred:
* Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
* HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (if using Terraform)
Skills

* Experience in hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud strategies.
