About the Role: Based locally in Kalgoorlie, you'll be working from our workshop, supporting the maintenance and reliability of heavy mining equipment. This is a hands-on role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across a range of SMS-owned heavy mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on heavy mining gear (the big stuff that keeps Kal running)
* Fault find and troubleshoot wiring, batteries, lighting, and diagnostics — "she'll be right" only goes so far
* Carry out repairs and installations per OEM and site standards
(no bush fixes… unless approved)
* Focus on safety, compliance, and tidy workshop practices
* Work closely with a residential maintenance team that's got your back

What We're Looking For:
* Demonstrated experience in Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM)
* Hands-on experience with CAT, Komatsu & Hitachi mining equipment
* Previous mine site experience diagnosing and repairing mining equipment
* Australian-recognised Automotive Electrical Trade Certificate
* Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence (red dust friendly)
* Current Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Licence (you'll appreciate this in summer)
* Unrestricted Australian working rights
