About the role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Dingley Village. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in mechanical maintenance and engineering trades while gaining hands-on experience and formal training.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will learn how to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery in a safe and professional environment.
* Assist qualified fitters with maintenance and repair work
* Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
* Learn to diagnose mechanical faults and breakdowns
* Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely
* Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures
* Complete apprenticeship training and coursework requirements
To be successful
* Genuine interest in Mechanical trades and maintenance
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Mechanically minded with problem solving ability
* Reliable, punctual and safety focused
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
* Driver's licence preferred but not essential
Requirements
* Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
* Commitment to completing a trade apprenticeship
* Basic maths and literacy skills
* Previous workshop or mechanical experience highly regarded
