The Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation (NBRF) is seeking a General Manager who can engage, inspire and facilitate partners and the community to promote a balance between people and nature.
The role reports to the Chair of the NBRF Board and includes managing a broad range of stakeholders, projects and events to support the delivery of the NBRF’s objectives and contribute towards the global aims of the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Program.
What you’ll need to succeed :
* The ability to positively collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
* Experience or qualifications in environmental management and/or sustainability.
* Demonstrated project management and event management skills.
* A good knowledge of Noosa Shire and the many stakeholders involved in the region’s environmental sustainability efforts.
* Competence with digital tools including Microsoft Office and charity databases.
* Self-motivated team player with drive, passion and enthusiasm.
Beneficial attributes :
* Previous experience working for a volunteer led not for profit.
* Experience of fundraising and grant writing.
* Knowledge of local, state and federal government policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and local government regulations.
* Knowledge of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and the important role they have in environmental sustainability under Man and the Biosphere Program.
What we offer :
* Flexibility – the role can be full time or part time, employee or contractor. NBRF has an office in Tewantin but working from home is also available.
* Overall remuneration of up to $90K p.a. (hours of work negotiable)
* The ability to make a meaningful contribution to the environmental and community sustainability of beautiful Noosa Shire.
