About the Opportunity

Based at Fairfield, opportunity to be part of an exciting $730 redevelopment project to lead and implement transformational change activities across a project using Change Management Process.

Responsible for development of the change management planning, the operational commissioning strategies, decanting and relocation planning.

Work as part of a small team to engage with user groups, clinicians, project and communications teams to document and communicate change, and manage stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

The Change Manager role offers a degree of autonomy and flexibility but requires strong self-direction of autonomy and flexibility but requires strong self-direction.

What You'll Be Doing

The Change Manager will assume a leadership role providing expert advice on change management matters, strategies and solutions. They will achieve this through liaising with expert best practice sources such as Health Infrastructure, Agency for Clinical Innovation, Clinical Networks and Streams, Clinical Excellence Commission and provide feedback and information to the LHD and the Project governance reporting and processes.

The position requires applying existing or new state and local policies and practices as applicable to the facility development. Liaison with clinicians to develop alternate processes, models of care and systems to support the project is a key component. During the project development the change manager role contributes to the direction of assets and identification of resources required for future service delivery.

The Change Manager will use initiative and self-direction to manage day-to-day requirements with a high degree of competency and enthusiasm. The Change Manager will be the main point of contact for the LHD to the Project team. This will be enabled by:

- Facilitating the development of a strong vision and strategy/framework for change within the organisation expressed in a Change Management Plan incorporating clinical redesign and AIM methodology in all Change Management processes.
- Assisting in the development of an Operational Commissioning Strategy, its implementation, and the development and delivery of relocation plan(s) negotiated with project stakeholders, aligned with the overall project program.
- Working closely with communications personnel to ensure consultation and involvement of appropriate stakeholders as identified in the project Communications Plan.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in leading change management processes within a health or similarly complex service environment, including applying structured methodologies such as the HI 4-Step Change Management Process, and delivering outcomes aligned with organisational strategies, business cases, and benefits realisation plans.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, user groups, and governance bodies, to implement new models of care and operational processes that align with Clinical Services Plans and Functional Briefs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills with a proven ability to anticipate and address organisational cultural barriers to change, build commitment among staff, and work in partnership with communications teams to ensure successful stakeholder engagement.
- High-level analytical, planning and risk management skills, with demonstrated experience in identifying clinical and non-clinical risks, supporting redesign of service delivery.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
