About the role:
MAC Healthcare Services is seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to participants in the community. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience in similar role and demonstrate a robust commitment to promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.
Applicants must have valid Australian working rights (e.g Australian citizens. permanent residents, or valid visa holders with work rights).
Key responsibilities:
* Provide personal care assistance required by residents including the following tasks in accordance with the policies and procedures at the service and MAC Healthcare Services (MHCS):
* Assistance with showering/toileting.
* Assistance with dressing.
* Assistance with feeding.
* Transferring between beds, wheelchair, motor vehicle, etc.
* Administering medication as required.
* Carry out domestic duties, e.g. cleaning, laundry, cooking as required by residents.
* Carry out basic cleaning around the house, i.e. cleaning floors, making beds etc.
* Assist residents with menu planning, shopping, and meal preparation.
* Accompanying Clients to the Community for socialisation.
* Complete documentation as required by the service. This will include documentation are medication, personal care diaries, incident reports, etc.
* May be required to provide first aid treatment.
* Attending meetings and liaising with MAC Healthcare managers to assess care provision and identify areas for improvement and needs for referrals were needed.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification
* NDIS workers Screening Check
* First Aid & CPR
* Experience in disability support
Job Type: Full time
Pay: $32.00 – $42.32 per hour
