**About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre**
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre delivers day oncology and day surgical services. The organisation comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant in Nursing to join our team on a part-time/ full-time basis.
You will support the nursing team in an acute care environment and assist with patient care interventions. You will also be responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate health care information and documentation and will be required to deliver a high level of patient care so it is important that you are a good communicator with patients and other staff members alike.
- HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent or a second-year Student Studying Bachelor of Nursing
- Recent clinical experience within a hospital setting
- Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control standards and practices.
- Demonstrated focus on patient centred care
