Join Lonsec Research as a Graduate Investment Analyst to conduct managed funds research and support financial advisers in a team-oriented Melbourne-based team.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis across various asset classes including Australian Equities, Global Equities, Fixed Interest, Cash, and Alternatives
- Facilitate the coverage initiation of new funds and maintain ongoing coverage of products
- Develop technical knowledge of products across asset classes, Lonsec processes, and house views
- Assist in report writing and meeting preparation, synthesizing written information and evaluating product merits
- Work alongside experienced Investment Analysts and Senior Investment Analysts in a collaborative environment
About You
The company is looking for:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience within a research house, financial advisory firm, fund manager, or similar, with a strong focus on financial analysis and market knowledge
- Strong qualitative research skills with the ability to distil financial information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrable interest in finance and investment
- Proficient quantitative skills for data manipulation and analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrable understanding of investments, equities, and ETFs, or a keen interest to acquire such knowledge
- Effective communication skills to ask probing questions with confidence and clarity
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team while taking ownership of individual objectives
- Positive attitude and passion for learning
- Current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia (e.g., Citizen or Permanent Resident)
