Job Description
* Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
* Oversee financial reporting processes and maintain accurate records.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and advice.
* Manage the preparation of tax returns and liaise with auditors as required.
* Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
* Support the development of financial strategies and policies.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Accountant should have:
* A recognised accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the Not For Profit sector.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and results-driven approach to work.
