About WSP Water Group
WSP Water Group is seeking a passionate Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects for SA Water. This role offers the opportunity to enhance communities across Australia while building your reputation in the industry. Our Adelaide-based Water Utilities team is dedicated to delivering sustainable, forward-thinking solutions.
Role Overview
Joining as a Design Engineer or Senior Engineer, you will:
1. Deliver high-quality civil designs from concept to completion, understanding other disciplines involved.
2. Prepare and review technical documentation compliant with industry standards (knowledge of WSAA, SA Water Standards, or Australian Standards is advantageous).
3. Manage or assist in water and wastewater infrastructure projects or work packages.
4. Exceed client expectations through exceptional service.
5. Assist in proposal writing to secure new projects.
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Active pursuit of professional chartership.
3. 5+ years of civil engineering experience, especially in water infrastructure.
4. Technical expertise in earthworks, stormwater, pavements, drainage, and pipelines.
5. Interest in mentoring junior engineers and developing team capabilities.
6. Strong client relationship skills.
7. Familiarity with legislation, standards, and safety in design.
8. Knowledge of quality assurance and health and safety systems.
