About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand at Eureka Villages, you’ll support the day to day kitchen operations to ensure residents enjoy nutritious, home-style meals in a clean, welcoming environment.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Assist with preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert items
* Support safe and hygienic plating and service of meals
* Maintain a clean and sanitised kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards
* Help with dishwashing and general cleaning of equipment, utensils, and surfaces
* Receive and store food deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
* Follow direction from the Chef and contribute to a smooth kitchen workflow
* Provide friendly interactions with residents during service, supporting a homely atmosphere
* Report maintenance or food safety issues promptly to the Chef or Village Manager
* Assist with basic record keeping (e.g. temperature checks, cleaning logs) if required
What You'll Bring:
* Previous experience as a kitchen hand (Essential)
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Food Safety qualification (desirable)
