About The Role

Step into an influential leadership position as a Nurse Unit Manager - Level 2 within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at John Hunter Children's Hospital, Newcastle. As a pivotal member of the nursing management team, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of our high-acuity, 44-bed Level 6 tertiary unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care to some of the region's most vulnerable newborns.

In this dynamic, Monday to Friday role, you'll lead and inspire a large, diverse nursing workforce, support the coordination of patient flow, and foster professional development within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Working closely with Nurse Practitioners, Neonatologists, Allied Health professionals, and administrative staff, you'll champion a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and compassionate neonatal care.

Our successful candidate will possess the following:
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

* An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
