About The Role
The Trade Counter Sales, Warehouse Operator, is a full-time position, based in Karratha, WA. Reporting to the Store Manager you will join our Timber & Building Supplies Hardware Store delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the warehouse.
Role
Our Hardware store offers a range of CSR Gyprock, Cemintel Fibre Cement and Bradford Insulation, large range of timber, paint, hardware and building products to cater for all your building and handyperson needs. In this role you will:
Follow and prioritise the CSR Never Walk Past Policy - Personal safety and safety of everyone around you is paramount.
Diverse role as an all-rounder – duties surrounding store/yard person & assisting in providing excellent service to our customers.
Warehouse operations include picking orders, stock count, replenishment, and merchandising.
Conduct regular checks of all mobile plants and equipment on site.
Mixing paint, colour matching, tinting, and providing paint advice
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the warehouse, yard, and retail area.
Loading and unloading vehicles
Contribute to all other duties required to maintain a high level of housekeeping and presentation.
Inwards goods
Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm and every third Saturday 7:00am to 12:00pm
What You Bring To The Role
Possess a strong work ethic.
A genuine passion for customer experience.
To be able to approach, connect and confidently interact with customers.
Knowledge of trade products is ideal but not required.
An eagerness to learn about products and services.
The ability to work independently and part of a wider team.
Store person experience or customer service experience within a trade retail/warehouse environment.
Ensure a high standard of personal grooming & presentation.
Valid Driver's licence
Forklift licence not essential but preferred – the right candidate will be given the opportunity to gain this licence.
Must have excellent customer service & communication skills.
Must be confident and well-presented when dealing with customers.
Experience working in a fast paced and busy environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines.
