Position Summary
Site Engineer – Highways with an opportunity to develop your career on major highways infrastructure projects in Penrith. This role is part of a reputable civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and highways projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of highways construction works on key National Highways schemes.

Role and Responsibilities
* Carry out setting out for highways construction works.
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Support the site team with daily engineering activities.
* Check and review technical drawings and documentation.
* Maintain accurate site records and quality documentation.
* Assist with coordination of subcontractors and site teams.
* Monitor progress and help ensure works remain on programme.
* Support health, safety and quality standards on site.
Required Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a Site Engineer in highways or civil engineering.
* Experience working on National Highways or major highways infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of highways construction methods and standards.
* Experience with setting out and surveying equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
* CSCS card (or equivalent).
