Claims Team Leader Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our claims team in a Claims Team Leader capacity.
About the Role
* As the primary point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for liaising with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the Claims team meets key performance indicators (KPIs).
* You will triage notifications from clients' risk and security managers, allocating matters promptly to team members.
* Manage team workload, priorities, and performance, ensuring compliance with client requirements and service agreements.
* Monitor claims performance, develop claim strategies for escalated or complex claims, and provide technical guidance on claim investigation and resolution.
* Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, insurers, stakeholders, and third parties, preparing reports and trend analysis consistent with service agreements.
Requirements
* Proven expertise managing Liability & Property claims within an insurer, law firm, in-house claims team, or third-party administrator.
* Strong technical knowledge of claims principles and relevant legislation including the General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, and Privacy Act.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Superior relationship management skills and problem-solving ability.
* People leadership experience is advantageous.
