As a Merchandising Planning Assistant at Nick Scali you will be an integral part of the team, working to support the Purchasing & Buying Department in a professional and efficient manner. This will include administrative support, ensuring the relevant reports are up to date, organising and despatching stock samples and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
**Key Responsibilities are to**:
- Prepare and submit purchase orders, including forecasting and determining order quantities to maintain ideal stock levels within warehouses
- Prepare and analyse data to monitor stock levels
- Create new supplier accounts
- Maintain documentation for each supplier account
- Manage supplier relationships
- Assist the Senior Merchandise Planner as required
- Respond to enquirers from showrooms, warehouses and other internal parties as required
**Experience and Skills Required**:
- Ability to communicate both written and verbally in English and Mandarin **(Essential)**:
- Degree qualified with 2+ years experience in a retail environment
- Strong attention to detail is essential
- Well developed numerical and analytical skills
- Aptitude to work in a team
