Job Overview

The Grid Performance and Integration team is responsible for the investigation, study and management of existing and emerging technical risks in a rapidly changing power system. To fulfill this role, you will leverage your expertise in power system engineering, operations or design to understand current and future power system risks and develop means to mitigate them.

Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of key risk and performance documents as required under the National Electricity Rules, including AEMO's General Power System Risk Review and major power system incident reviews. You will lead the framing of complex engineering problem statements, direct power system studies and solve challenging power system issues.

Additionally, you may support the commissioning of major interconnectors linking NEM regions. Your reports will be published on AEMO's website, and you will have the opportunity to present key findings to senior leaders at AEMO and across the energy sector.
