Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Tenant Participation Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about empowering tenants and making a positive impact in their community.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating engagement initiatives that promote tenant participation and influence service improvements.
* They will build and manage partnerships between tenants, stakeholders, and government agencies to strengthen communication, improve service access, and support sustainable tenancies.
* Developing and implementing tenant feedback systems, ongoing consultative arrangements, and mechanisms with individual social housing residents, families, organizations, and the local community will also be a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement community-based projects and activities to facilitate increased participation of residents in community capacity building and neighborhood activities.
* Support the delivery of tenant participation and community engagement planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects.
* Aid in engagement design, stakeholder mapping, coordinating resources, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting relevant related activities.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications and 3-5 years' experience in tenant participation, community development, or community services are essential.
* A valid NSW driving license and willingness to travel around to different sites as needed are also required.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under tight deadlines and budgets with competing priorities are necessary.
