Your duties will include:
1. Plan and undertake research including interrogation of a range of systems to extract and collate data for analysis.
2. Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information gathering and exchange.
3. Use of a range of analytical techniques to understand the drivers, casual factors and complexities associated to family violence to inform and assist in the writing of high-quality intelligence products.
4. Deliver intelligence on key identified, current and future risks linked to family violence trends to influence decision making processes.
5. Maintain and develop a strong knowledge base to drive the intelligence processes.
6. Support decision makers with high level recommendations by reporting on intelligence analysis in the form of various written products, along with verbal briefings as required.
7. Maintain intelligence support to investigations attached to Somerville Family Violence Investigations Unit.
8. Build a strong intelligence network with family violence support agencies within SD4.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
9. Sound conceptual, critical thinking and analytical skills.
10. Strong written and oral communication skills.
11. Ability to develop skills to effectively interrogate systems for information gathering.
12. Ability to respond to changing requirements and priorities, and to adapt to unpredictable circumstances.
13. Tertiary qualifications in the related criminology, criminal justice, criminal intelligence science, technology, engineering, or mathematics are highly desirable.
14. Previous experience in family violence investigations and/or family violence support agency employment is highly desirable.

15. One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
16. This position is located at Somerville Police Complex, 197 Eramosa Road West, Somerville, VIC, 3912.
17. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve, and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
18. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
