Working closely with the management team, you will take ownership of the venue's digital marketing and brand presence, focusing on brand, storytelling, and strategy.
Brand, Storytelling & Strategy
Collaborating with the management team on brand and marketing strategy.
Ensuring all activity adheres to established brand guidelines.
Crafting authentic storytelling that reflects the Byron Bay lifestyle, local culture and coastal vibe.
Refining and strengthening overall brand awareness and online presence.
Social Media & Content
Managing and growing our social media channels (primarily Instagram & Facebook).
Planning and executing engaging content calendars.
Showcasing our food, drinks, people and atmosphere through high-quality visuals and copy.
Using AI tools to support content creation, scheduling, captions and ideas.
AI, Technology & Productivity
Embracing AI and digital tools to enhance productivity and output quality.
Experimenting with new technology to keep our marketing fresh, efficient and relevant.
Using automation and data to refine campaigns and performance.
Email Marketing & Digital Campaigns
Creating and managing EDM campaigns that drive engagement and bookings.
Overseeing digital advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads) and reporting on performance.
Continuously testing and optimising campaigns for better results.
Website, SEO & Analytics
Managing website content updates and ensuring brand consistency.
Driving organic growth through SEO best practice.
Regularly reviewing analytics to understand what's working and where to improve.
Design (Bonus)
Creating simple graphics for social media and digital collateral is a plus.
Confidently briefing designers or external partners when needed.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Have experience in digital marketing or are a motivated marketing graduate with strong fundamentals and a portfolio or examples of work.
Understand and appreciate the Byron Bay culture, visitor mindset and local community.
Are confident using (or keen to use) AI tools to enhance your marketing output.
Are strong across (or eager to develop) skills in social media, EDMs, digital ads, SEO and analytics.
Have excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
Are organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
Love bringing brands to life online and staying ahead of digital trends.
What We Offer
Part-time structure (pro rata), starting at 3 days per week, with potential to evolve over time.
Salary range: $65,000 – $90,000 pro rata + super, depending on experience.
