ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with exposure to pumps to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of pumps and associated equipment/components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Diagnose and repair industrial pumps and other equipment as required
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
* Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components including large water pumps
* Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, pumps and ancillary equipment
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines
* Collaborate with team members to complete complex repairs
REQUIREMENTS
* Australian recognised trade completion certificate (Mechanical)
* Previous pump experience is highly advantageous
* Good communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Good diagnostic skills with the ability to learn and develop
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team
* A strong commitment to safety and quality
* High level of attention to detail
* Positive and proactive attitude
* Be a flexible and professional team member
* High level of self-motivation and commitment
* Current drivers' licence (minimum)
