Overview
We are seeking a talented individual to join our JLT Public Sector team at Marsh. This role will be based in Brisbane. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of occasional working in the office, remote and maximising time at client sites.

You'll be supporting Member Councils of the Local Government Workcare Self‐Insurance Scheme (LGW) by delivering practical, impactful health, safety and wellbeing solutions across Queensland. Key responsibilities
* Provide clients with strategic and operational solutions to health, safety and wellbeing
* Develop and/or review safety management system components for clients
* Prepare and assist member Councils through the safety management system audits
* Develop and foster relations at all levels within Council
* Work as part of a team for key client projects through a variety of targeted initiatives
What you need to have
* Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline, or nearing completion in a relevant tertiary qualification
* Experience with the development and implementation of safety management systems
* Experience working under a Self‐Insurance model including experience with working under the National Audit Tool, preferred but not essential
* Current QLD Drivers License is required at all times
* Be a solution focused thinker with the ability to deliver operational system outcomes for our clients
* Ability to engage, influence and motivate through well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills (including ability to tailor communications to suit a broad range of clients)
* Ability to foster and sustain client relationships
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own workload and competing priorities to meet deadlines
* Travel within Queensland will be required
What makes you stand out
* Experience working with Local Government clients or within the public sector
* Knowledge of the National self‐insurer OHS management system audit tool/process
* Previous experience in a consulting environment
