Currently we have an opportunity for a temporary Bookkeeper to join their dedicated team in Townsville.
The role is a temporary full time role but could potentially evolve into a more permanent opportunity, although this cannot be guaranteed.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our clients small, but passionate team on an initial temporary basis.
You'll ensure accurate and timely financial data entry while maintaining data integrity across the organisations' accounting and IT systems.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to managing accounts payable, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, provide IT support, maintain system access and assist with troubleshooting to ensure smooth daily operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
Corporate credit card reconciliation
Prepare and lodge monthly BAS
Support audit preparation and respond to queries
Assist with payroll, superannuation, and reporting obligations
Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
Assist with ACNC reporting and other compliance submissions
General administrative duties as required
Key Selection Criteria
Proven bookkeeping experience (NFP experience highly regarded)
Strong Excel skills and comfortable adopting new tools and systems.
Knowledge of Australian accounting standards
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Tech-savvy with experience in accounting/payroll systems (SAGE, Martus, Definitiv desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
