PEARL MARINE ENGINEERING PTY LTD (PME) is a member of the Paspaley Pearls Group. With six dry repair berths and three wet berths, the shipyard is the leading provider and covers all facets of ship repair, engineering and maintenance in Darwin.
The Project Controller is a key member of the Project Team who works with Managment to help define the project's goals and objectives, create and maintain a projects budget and schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules, recommend actions to improve progress, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting on a consistent basis.
The ideal candidate will have a trade background and be experienced in mechanical maintenance planning, project coordination and scheduling within a heavy industry environment. Equally important will be your strong computer skills and high attention to detail. You will have the ability to work collaboratively as you directly liaise with stakeholders, utilising you initiative in driving process improvements and influencing outcomes. Your effective communication skills are essential, as is your ability to problem solve and make decisions.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
* Assist with the development of Project Work Packs and other operational instructions.
* Assist with the development and maintenance of routine operational maintenance programs for all vessels and equipment.
* Ensure all activities comply with the requirements of the NT Work Health Act / Regulations.
* Schedule all activities associated with assigned projects to produce an integrated critical path schedule, update as required, and report potential problems / problem areas.
* Update and evaluate the accuracy of the project forecast by assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of the project.

* Engineering qualification
* Mechanical or Fabrication Trade
* Work at Heights qualification
* Confined Space Entry qualification
