Overview
Community Health Services Trainer and Resource Developer – Casual, VET Trainer/Assessor and Resource Developer for Community Health Services programs (Individual Support: Ageing and Disability).
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and lead students in learning activities to successfully meet the competency requirements of the course. The role includes provision of support and feedback to students during the course and observation and assessment of student competency and performance according to course requirements.
This role is also to develop engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.
Currently delivering training packages: CHC33021 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing Support. Short courses such as HLTHPS007: Administer and Monitor Medications.
Responsibilities
* Develop and lead students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements and support student progress.
* Provide ongoing feedback and assess student competency and performance according to course requirements.
* Develop engaging, compliant learning and assessment resources for delivery and assessment.
Current Courses
* CHC33021 - Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability)
* CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing Support
* HLTHPS007 - Administer and Monitor Medications
Selection Criteria
* Qualified in a relevant field at least to the level of the course you are teaching (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support and/or Certificate IV in Ageing/Disability Support; Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse).
* TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
* Course resource and assessment development experience.
* Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker roles.
* Current Working with Children Check.
* Current industry skills relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to engage, lead, mentor and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
* Ability to validate assessment items and judgments.
* Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to manage student matters in academic and non-academic issues.
* Experience working with student management systems (e.g., aXcelerate).
* Understanding of Smart and Skilled (NSW Government subsidised training) contract requirements.
* Minimum 2 years current teaching or facilitation experience.
