As activities coordinator, you will plan and run programs for residents in a secure setting within Rivergum Residential Treatment Centre in Ararat. You will support people to build life skills and improve their wellbeing.
* Design and deliver structured activities that support personal and life skills.
* Plan a diverse calendar of recreational, cultural, vocational and learning activities.
* Work with staff to provide tailored programs for individuals and groups.
* Keep accurate records and report on participation and outcomes.
* Support a positive culture that promotes rehabilitation and safe transition.
* Ongoing, full-time role earning $89,292 to $96,073 per year, plus super.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in a related field is highly desirable.
* Strong experience planning and running activities in structured settings.
* Good knowledge of justice system rules, processes and policies.
* A clear commitment to rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.
* Strong communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
