Established in ****, Track Safe Solutions Australia is a leading provider of Track Protection Officers and rail safe working personnel across Western Australia.
We are now expanding our operations to provide track machine maintainers as a new service for our clients.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced trade assistants with proven experience in the rail industry to work on our clients track maintenance machines and rail equipment around Western Australia.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join a small, growing business in the rail industry.
You will work in remote locations and utilise your skills in machinery maintenance and repair to work amongst our clients teams providing high quality mechanical assistance and support services.
You will be the face of our business in the field, representing our company in this hands on position.
You will need to have strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own, with a strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all types of maintenance tasks as required by the client
Fault find and diagnose mechanical issues
Perform general servicing, refuelling and consumables top up activities
Perform manual handling and labouring tasks
Work in accordance with rail safety requirements and site policies
Drive light and heavy rigid vehicles as required
Safely utilise hand and power tools to complete maintenance activities
Assess and manage risks associated with the task and work environment
Role Structure & Requirements
FIFO from Perth, on a family friendly 8/6 roster.
Experience working in rail environments
Proven mechanical or electrical experience
HR Drivers Licence
Operate and maintain a 4wd vehicle
Construction White Card
Ability to Pass a Cat1 Rail Medical
Ability to work as a part of a team on our client's machines
