Position Overview
Byron Bay Building Materials is seeking a capable, outgoing and knowledgeable individual to join the team in our timber yard. This is a full‑time position and the successful candidate must possess excellent customer service abilities whilst operating in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers in the timber yard, helping them with orders and providing advice while delivering excellent customer service.
* Receive and check incoming deliveries.
* Organise and store timber and other building materials.
* Ensure the health & safety of fellow team members and customers as per in‑house OH & S policies.
* Undertake regular product stocktakes.
* Maintain the cleanliness and serviceability of the timber yard.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Have excellent customer service and communication standards.
* Be detail‑oriented and have the ability to problem‑solve.
* Prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
* Be capable of working on your feet all day.
* Be available to work Monday to Friday, between 6:30am – 5pm, plus one Saturday per month, 8am – 12pm.
* Forklift licence and timber/building material knowledge would be highly advantageous.
