CNC Machinist – Hindmarsh, SA
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + 12% super (based on experience)
Hours: 7:30am – 3:30pm (flexible working hours)
About the Role:
Adecco Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our client, this is a permanent position based in Hindmarsh, SA. This position offers excellent variety due to the diverse product range the business manufactures, from high-performance lighting to precision equipment. The role includes CNC operation and programming, manufacturing jigs and fixtures, supporting production and prototyping, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, autonomy, and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and program CNC machines to produce parts to specification
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments
* Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
* Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace
* Assist with design-for-manufacture and prototyping
* Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to drive efficiency and improvements
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven CNC machining experience, including multi-axis operation and programming
* CAD/CAM proficiency and strong understanding of G-code/M-code
* Strong mechanical aptitude and machining knowledge
* Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, etc.) desirable
* Flexibility to work across different shifts if needed
