CPP Civil
CPP Civil is responsible for delivering the civil scope of high-voltage substation and infrastructure projects across Australia. The team provides front end constructability input during tender phases and leads civil works through to completion on complex grid connection projects.
Once civil works are complete, projects are formally handed over to CPP's Electrical Delivery teams, ensuring clear scope ownership and coordinated end-to-end project delivery.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of the civil scope on high-voltage infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on substations.
You will provide advanced technical input during tendering, including design reviews, constructability advice, and coordination with external consultants. During delivery, you will oversee civil construction activities, subcontractor performance, cost control, and program management, working closely with Project Managers and site teams.
This role also plays a key leadership function within CPP Civil. You will mentor and support engineers, contribute to capability development, and lead by example in safe, high-quality project delivery. Responsibility for the role concludes at civil completion, at which point projects transition to the electrical construction team.
About You
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Significant experience delivering civil works on high-voltage infrastructure projects, ideally substations
* Proven ability to lead the civil scope across tendering and construction phases
* Strong commercial understanding including cost control, forecasting, and subcontract management
* Experience using MS Project and applying core project management principles
* Confident communicator able to engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
Experience within Australian utilities, TNSP projects, or renewable grid connection works is highly regarded.
