About The Role
As an
Environmental Services Assistant
, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across the hospital, in line with infection control guidelines. You will contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors while assisting with stock control and departmental upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning tasks to meet our infection control guidelines across all areas of the hospital.
* Making beds.
* Follow infection control procedures and hospital hygiene standards.
* Work collaboratively with the team while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
* Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster is essential.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and reliable team member who takes pride in creating a clean and safe environment. You will bring:
* Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping (healthcare experience highly regarded).
* Knowledge of hygiene practices, infection control, and Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
* Ability to work a flexible roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
* Strong time management, efficiency, and stamina for extended periods on your feet.
* A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
* Experience with decontamination of beds and ward equipment.
* Ability to identify and report hazards promptly.
* Willingness to perform other ad hoc duties as required by management.
