About the Employer:
ARB Corporation Ltd is Australia's largest manufacturer and distributor of 4x4 accessories. With continued growth across our manufacturing operations, we are seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join our production team at our Kilsyth facility.
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing a variety of automotive components to a high standard using established powder coating processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring ARB's product quality, durability, and presentation meet our industry-leading standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and sandblasting
* Apply powder coatings using spray guns, booths, and related equipment
* Set up, operate, and maintain powder coating machinery
* Adjust sprayer valves, nozzles, and equipment settings as required
* Load and unload products onto coating lines and manage oven curing processes
* Conduct quality checks to ensure proper adhesion, coverage, and finish
* Select and prepare powders and maintain accurate finish specifications
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production work orders
* Work safely and comply with all occupational health and safety requirements
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Powder Coater in a manufacturing or automotive environment
* Sound knowledge of powder coating techniques, equipment, and safety standards
* Ability to handle components of various shapes, sizes, and weights
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality finishes
* Problem-solving ability and confidence troubleshooting equipment issues
* Ability to follow SOPs and work in a fast-paced production environment
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-focused attitude
* Experience with automotive coatings is advantageous but not essential
