Permanent, Part-time Opportunity
Hourly Rate: $30 to $35 per hour, plus reimbursement of $0.96 per KM.
Hourly rate based on experience.

As a
Qualified Home Care Worker
, you'll join a supportive and values-driven team based at St James Retirement Home in Townsville.
You will be responsible and dedicated to helping older Australians live safely and independently in their own homes.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and assistance to clients (e.g. showering, grooming, dressing)
Available for early morning starts between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday
Medication assistance (HLTHPS006 competency required)
Domestic support (cooking, cleaning, household tasks)
Social support and transport to appointments, shopping or community outings
Observing and reporting changes in health and wellbeing
You'll be part of a flexible team, able to work unsupervised with the ability to work both in the field and in the office as required.
Whether you're out supporting clients or backing up your team administratively, you'll be a key part of our mission to deliver quality care.
What You'll Need
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent with 12 months experience
Completion of HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients with Medication
HLTAAP001 – Recognise Healthy Body Systems
CHCCCS031 – Provide Individualised Support
A current driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle
First Aid and CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
What Make You Stand Out
A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (if applicable)
Vehicle suitable for work purposes is essential for this role.
Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle
