Overview
Position: MARINE APPLICATOR/ PAINTING TRADES PERSON
We have a Team based at the BAE Systems yard in Henderson supporting the repairs and maintenance of Ships. Favcote offers a permanent position in a challenging, fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
* Work by themselves or within a team.
* Perform tasks as instructed in a safety and quality conscious manner.
* Deliver tasks on Defence assets to exacting specifications.
* Understand surface preparation and finishes; complete works to specifications.
* Mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings, etc.
* Select paints, varnishes and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
* Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and achieve specified dry film thickness.
* Work at heights and in confined spaces; erect scaffolding and ladders.
* Clean equipment and work areas.

Salary: Guaranteed annual earnings of at least $70,000 + Super
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Previous blasting and painting experience (minimum 5 years)
* White Card CPCCWHS1001 / CPCCOHS1001A (required)
* Certificate 3 in Fabrication (surface preparation) (advantageous)
* Current Working at Heights (Desired)
* EWP Licence (Desired)
Job Type and Schedule
* Normal hours are:
o 06:30 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday
o 06:30 - 12:30 Friday
* Options of weekend overtime are available when requested by client
* Job Type: Full Time
