As an Apprentice you will complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery over a 4 year training contract. Gaining valuable industry skills.
In this role you would perform a range of specialist cooking roles such as planning and preparing food. You may also undertake the following:
- Prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery
- Prepare vegetable, fruit, egg and farinaceous dishes
- Work effectively as a cook in a fast paced environment
- Clean kitchen premises and equipment as per WHS regulations
- Plan and cost basic menus
To be considered for a Commercial Cookery apprenticeship the following is required:
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team
- Ability to handle fast paced services
