Job Title: Road Maintenance Team Leader
The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the facilitation and supervision of team operations to ensure the timely delivery of a quality Road Maintenance service within the community in accordance with specified standards.
You will be provided support and training in line with council values to learn the role and ensure workers are resilient, adaptive, and able to perform to community expectations.
The operation does not require shift work or rotational rostering, instead working Monday to Friday and providing flexibility for the perfect work/life balance.
* Assist with the supervision and participate with a hands-on approach in the provision of road maintenance activities including monitoring staff methods under your control, providing on-the-job instruction, and ensuring they meet guidelines.
* Facilitate roadside litter collection and environmental checks, maintaining roadside vegetation.
* Operate plant and equipment safely and competently.
* Follow up customer requests issued through Councils Request system and Maintenance Management System.
* Contribute to implementing and administering Council's Road Management Plan.
* Prepare works by arranging materials and resources, setting out, and establishing worksites in accordance with relevant legislative guidelines.
