We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Site Supervisor / Construction Project Coordinator to join a dynamic and growing construction business in regional South Australia. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role that will see you managing multiple construction projects across fencing, sheds, and light structures.
About the Role
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily construction operations, ensuring quality, safety, scheduling, and compliance with relevant standards. This role works closely with the Project and Design Managers to keep projects moving on time, within budget, and to a high-quality finish. You will coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and materials, while also maintaining key documentation and driving continuous improvement across processes and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery
* Plan and coordinate construction activities and crews
* Schedule and prepare projects, including kitting, documentation, and inductions
* Conduct site measurements and assist in project scheduling and material planning
* Supervise subcontractors and ensure adherence to safety and contractual requirements
* Conduct inspections at critical construction milestones (e.g. foundations, formwork)
* Implement and maintain all safety protocols (toolbox meetings, SWMS, hazard assessments, etc.)
* Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring high-quality results
* Maintain accurate site records, cost tracking, and job documentation
* Support project reviews and debriefs to identify cost variances and opportunities for improvement
Must-Have Criteria
* Construction coordination and site supervision experience
* Relevant trade background or qualifications in project/construction management
* Must be willing to relocate to Millicent, SA
* Fencing and/or shed construction experience
* Current driver's license
* Strong work ethic, well-presented, and physically fit
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Excellent references from relevant construction leadership roles
Desirable (Nice to Have)
* Civil CAD (2D or 3D) experience or willingness to learn
* Builder's license or CBS registration
* Quoting or estimating experience
* Quantity planning or job costing experience
* Experience with verandahs, pergolas, roofing, fences, gates, and sheds (residential or industrial)
* Experience sketching/drawing for customer fencing layouts
Additional Notes
In South Australia, building work supervisors must be registered with Consumer and Business Services (CBS). Preference will be given to candidates who hold or are eligible for this registration, as it provides greater operational flexibility.
