ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the EADRA Manager, you will play a key coordination role supporting the Emergency Animal Disease Response Agreement (EADRA) and Australian Veterinary Emergency Plan (AUSVETPLAN) programs. This role is a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract position, with the possibility of extension.
You will provide program coordination, planning, reporting and stakeholder support to ensure activities are delivered effectively, on time and within budget. The role works closely with government agencies, industry bodies and veterinary professionals and may support national emergency animal disease responses when required.
Primary responsibilities of the role include:
* Coordinate and support EADRA and AUSVETPLAN program activities, including planning, scheduling, reporting and documentation
* Assist with workflows, prioritisation and resource planning across programs
* Prepare meeting papers, correspondence, minutes, reports and communications
* Maintain accurate records in project and program databases
* Support effective communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders
* Monitor timelines, risks and deliverables and propose practical solutions
* Provide program administration, analysis and reporting support
* Contribute to organisational initiatives and support emergency response activities when activated
ABOUT YOU
You are highly organised, detail‑oriented and comfortable working across multiple priorities. You enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders and can confidently distil complex information into clear, audience‑appropriate communication.
Essential requirements:
* Tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Science, Animal Science or a related field
* Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and database systems
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Desirable:
* Project management qualifications and/or experience
* Knowledge or experience in animal health or biosecurity
* Experience with monitoring, evaluation, budgeting or reporting
* Ability to translate scientific or technical information into plain English
* Experience using tools such as Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled workflows

Total remuneration for this position is from $80,782 (including super) and will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.
