About the Role
The Team Leader acts as the primary point of contact for support staff, participants, and stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to supporting people with disability. The role also involves maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners while guiding and supervising Support Workers.
You will play a key role in supporting participants to achieve their goals and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
* Experience supporting clients with behaviour support needs and mental health challenges
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and disability sector
* Experience in rostering (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work outside standard office hours when required
* Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
Participant & Community Engagement
• Connect participants with relevant stakeholders
• Build relationships within the community to support participant outcomes
• Review participant data to identify appropriate actions and service improvements
Operational & Service Delivery Support
• Assist with planning, budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance processes
• Escalate service delivery concerns or identify solutions
• Respond to participant enquiries regarding services and procedures
Team Supervision & Staff Coordination
• Provide supervision, mentoring, and support to Support Workers
• Monitor staff performance, attendance, documentation, and progress notes
• Foster open communication and support debrief processes
• Assist with roster management and staffing challenges
After-Hours & Hands-On Support
• Respond to urgent calls and messages after hours when required
• Provide hands-on assistance, including covering shifts when necessary
