Make a difference where it matters.
At Anglicare Victoria, we work alongside young people to create real, lasting change. This role offers a unique opportunity to amplify young voices, and support pathways away from the justice system.
If you're driven by purpose and want to see the direct impact of your work in young people's lives, this is the role for you.
About the Role
This is an outreach-based position working directly with young people who are at risk of, or already involved in, the justice system. You'll build strong, trusting relationships and support young people to understand their behaviours, navigate challenges, and create positive change.
You'll work across both Youth Support Services and Youth Justice Community Support, providing holistic, strengths-based support that centres the young person's voice and agency.
With a mid-June start, you'll benefit from a structured handover and team support as you step into the role.
No two days are the same, but you can expect to:
* Provide outreach, meeting young people in their homes and community (using pool cars)
* Build trusted relationships with young people who may be hesitant to engage with services
* Support young people to unpack behaviours and identify underlying factors contributing to offending
* Advocate for young people in custodial and community settings
* Collaborate with families, schools, and external stakeholders to strengthen protective factors
* Link young people with supports and services, including referrals to specialist programs
* Role model safe, respectful communication and create space for meaningful conversations
* Navigate court orders, curfews, and other statutory requirements alongside Youth Justice
