**Safety Officer - Entry Level Position**
We are seeking a motivated Safety Officer to join our team in Clear Company, Queensland. This role is an entry-level position providing operational Work Health and Safety (WHS) support to the business unit in liaison with the People and Safety Team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees, visitors and contractors. Key responsibilities include contributing to the continuous improvement of our Safety Management System, identifying training needs, participating in risk identification, control and management processes, and assisting with drafting and development of Safe Operating procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety or relevant tertiary qualifications, working knowledge of WHS requirements and processes, strong communication and organisational skills, and ability to work autonomously.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Safety Management System.
* Identify training needs of workers and participate in their training.
* Monitor WHS performance and incidents, including compliance with regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
* Participate in risk identification, control and management processes with staff and contractors.
* Assist with drafting and development of Safe Operating procedures and other operational safety processes.
* Manage PPE supplies and requirements.
* Liaise with People and Safety and participate in incident investigation and reporting when required.
* Support the Operations Team by gathering, organising and maintaining information for reports.
* Carry out general administrative tasks as reasonably directed.
**Requirements:**
* Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety or relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
* QLD Return to Work Coordinator Certificate preferred.
* Working knowledge of WHS requirements and processes.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Methodical, logical and practical working approach.
* Strong computer literacy required.
