About the opportunity

Based on a 2:2 FIFO roster ex Perth, Altrad are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee and manage welding activities for an ongoing structural remediation and maintenance project. You will work closely with project engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure high standards of welding, safety, and compliance, while supporting efficient and timely project delivery.

In this role you will:

* Supervise and coordinate welding teams and trades assistants, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
* Conduct inspections to ensure welding work meets quality standards, specifications, and project requirements.
* Collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule welding tasks during shutdowns or maintenance windows.
* Prepare and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with project standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
* Support procurement and material management for welding equipment, consumables, and resources.
* Assist construction teams with work packs, permits, lifting operations, and on-site coordination of welding activities.
* Promote HSEQ compliance and contribute to a safe, quality-driven work culture.

About you

* You're a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.
* High Risk Work Licence (WP), Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a welding supervisory role within mining, industrial, or heavy structural projects.
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, inspection, and quality control.
* Proven experience managing teams and subcontractors in a FIFO environment.
* Comfortable on remote or metropolitan sites, with strong attention to safety and detail.
* Team player with proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and standard project software.
