Role Summary

\

The role of the Senior Social Worker is to provide specialist casework and therapeutic counselling to children and their families/carers where Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) due to domestic violence, physical abuse, or neglect has been confirmed.

\

As a senior clinician, you will contribute to clinical leadership within the team, provide professional supervision to junior staff, and play a key role in service development and evaluation.

\

Key Responsibilities:

\
* Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred counselling and casework to children and families impacted by child abuse and neglect.

* Provide medium to long-term interventions that support recovery, enhance safety, and strengthen parenting capacity.

* Collaborate with external partners including community services, schools, police, and non-government agencies.

* Act as a clinical leader within the team by supporting service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.

* Provide professional supervision and mentorship to less experienced social workers.

* Support staff and student education through teaching and reflective practice.

Requirements:

\
* A Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

* A current and valid NSW Driver Licence and a willingness to travel as required.

* A National Criminal Record Check.

* A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment.

* Compliance with NSW Health Vaccination Category A / immunisation requirements.
