This role is being offered on a remote basis, located in South Australia, offering the chance to collaborate with a friendly and high-performing Darwin-based team.
About the Role
In this Conveyancer role, you will be primarily responsible for managing end-to-end conveyancing transactions, ensuring each stage of the process is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements. You will act as a central point of coordination between our clients, agents, lenders and solicitors to ensure a smooth transaction process. Furthermore, this position will prepare and review legal documentation, conduct property & title searches and coordinate settlements to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
Your other key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing clear, skilled advice to clients regarding property transactions, risks and obligations
- Preparing, drafting and lodging legal documents including contracts and settlement statements
- Reviewing property titles, conducting searches and identifying any potential issues affecting ownership or compliance
- Managing the financial aspects of property transactions, including trust account reconciliation and settlement disbursements
- Assisting with post-settlement actions including registration and notification to relevant authorities
- Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to process improvements within the team.
About You
The successful candidate will possess an Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing or an equivalent qualification and will be a detail-focused professional, with proven experience managing end-to-end conveyancing transactions. You will have a sound understanding of property and contract law, and the ability to guide clients confidently through each stage of the conveyancing process.
You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professional judgement in preparing legal documents, conducting property searches, and coordinating settlements. Clear communication and a proactive, solutions-focused approach will allow you to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
The successful candidate will also possess:
- An Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing (BSB60220 preferred but not essential)
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, including the Real Property Act and Stamp Duties Act
- Experience liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions and legal representatives
- Familiarity with electronic conveyancing platforms (e.g. LEAP, PEXA & Land Titles systems)
