About The Role
We are seeking a Motor Mechanic to join our workshop team. The role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and performing routine servicing across customer vehicles and the company's rental fleet. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who can manage a mix of repair and maintenance tasks while ensuring vehicles are maintained to operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manual inspection
* Carry out servicing and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
* Perform routine maintenance on both customer vehicles and rental fleet vehicles
* Inspect vehicles and identify repair requirements in line with safety standards
* Test and adjust mechanical components after repairs
* Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs
* Ensure rental vehicles are maintained in roadworthy condition
* Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements
* Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
* Complete tasks within required timeframes to support workshop operations
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a related qualification
* Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time work experience
* Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engine, braking, and suspension
* Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently
* Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
