Cluster Assistant Accountant is a pivotal member of our Finance team, you will have a key focus on reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, income audit, general ledger, purchase orders and general finance administrative duties. Reporting into Cluster Director of Finance you will support The Westin Perth and Aloft Perth with day-to-day finance activities. Your duties will include: Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers. Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables. Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified. Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures. Skills & Experience: Your skills and experience will include: Competent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software packages Competent with OPERA Software or similar PMS advantageous Passion for delivering energetic customer service Positive attitude and an electric personality Articulate and confident Passionate about a career in hospitality Education in Accounting is highly regarded Note, that we require recent Australian police check and full time Australian working rights.
