Job Responsibilities:
* Spray painting involves reading and understanding job worksheets, sanding new panels, preparing repaired panels for primer, priming repaired panels, sanding primed panels, masking cars ready for the booth, setting up panels on painting stands, matching and mixing base coat and top coat, applying base coat and clear coat using a spray gun, unmasking cars, polishing painted panels, and brushing touching bolts and chips.
* Panel beating requires reading and understanding job worksheets, dismantling jobs allocated, putting nuts, bolts, and clips in trays, photographing images, making relevant notes, filling out supplementary parts order forms, notifying appropriate persons if repairs cannot be completed on time, carrying out body repairs with utmost quality, reassembling vehicles once painted, and disposing of replaced panels and cardboard.
* Insurance loss adjusters/estimators/prodiction managers deal with customers, receive vehicles, explain processes and scope of work, check in vehicles, write estimates, assign work to technicians, negotiate repair costs with assessors, manage average cost of repairs, ensure manufacturer procedures are followed, manage bookings, and conduct final quality inspections.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be trade qualified and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position. Remuneration packages between $76,515 and $90,000 will be offered to successful candidates. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.
