* We are seeking a dedicated Health Specialist to join our team, who will be responsible for providing technical expertise in injury prevention and management.
About the Job:
* The Health Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to coordinate case management and provide support for regulatory health surveillance activities and reporting.
* This role requires strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical guidance and support for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return to work processes.
* Coordinate case management with workers' compensation providers, medical professionals, and allied health services.
* Support site medical services, including paramedics, EAPs, physiotherapy, and occupational physicians.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline, registered with relevant professional bodies (e.g., APHRA or ESSA).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with intermediate skills in MS Office suite.
* Ideal experience working in large complex environments within mining or heavy industry, preferably with underground operational experience.
* Working knowledge of Queensland workers' compensation process and RRTWC course completion.
* Knowledge of QLD coal mining health and safety legislation, with basic principles in occupational hygiene advantageous.
