Job Description:
We are seeking a part-time school nurse to provide medical care and support to students and staff.
* Provide first aid and medical care for students and staff, including boarding students.
* Administer prescribed medication according to legal requirements and school policy.
* Conduct health assessments and medication checks for new students.
* Coordinate the school immunisation program and maintain accurate records.
* Deliver health education and training for staff on topics such as asthma and allergies.
* Communicate with parents/guardians on medical issues and coordinate student medical management plans.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
* Registered General Nurse registration with the Nurses Board of South Australia.
* Current practising certificate.
* Sound knowledge of WHS procedures and requirements.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and handle emergency situations.
