About the Role
Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? A premier Australian glass and aluminium manufacturer is seeking an experienced, focused, and organized Despatch Supervisor to lead our NSW operations. This isn't just a desk job. You will be the heartbeat of our delivery stream, ensuring our range of laminated, toughened, and decorative glass products reaches the building, automotive, and marine industries on time and in perfect condition. You will manage an internal fleet and drivers (not 3PL), maintaining full control over quality and safety.
Your Responsibilities
* Drive Performance: Lead the team with clear communication to hit DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) targets.
* Safety & Compliance: Proactively manage CoR, BFM, load restraint, and fleet maintenance.
* Relationship Building: Act as the bridge between internal production teams, sales, and our valued customers.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement smarter ways to work.
* Hands-on Support: Oversee truck loading/unloading, route sorting, and undertaking deliveries when required.
About You
You are a dynamic thinker who leads by example. You don't just spot problems; you solve them.
* Experience: Proven leadership in despatch/logistics (glass manufacturing experience is highly preferred).
* Fleet Management: Solid experience managing an internal fleet of trucks and drivers.
* Skills: Exceptional planning, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
* Licensing: Valid Forklift license is essential. A current MR or HR license and overhead crane experience are highly preferred.
* Safety Mindset: A non-negotiable commitment to a zero-harm workplace.
